Richard worked for HMRC for almost 20 years ending up running a Corporation Tax Aspect Enquiry & compliance support team.

Moving into the private sector, Richard worked as a tax investigation consultant and set up and ran the Capital Allowances team for an AIMS listed business before joining Iain in setting up Elect in 2014.

Acquired by AMS in 2024, and regulated by the RICS, Elect’s Capital Allowances offering is a market leader providing expert advice to accountants and commercial property owners alike.
